The Office of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C. (OHESDC), is one of three overseas offices operating under Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. OHESDC’s area of responsibility encompasses the United States, Canada, and Latin America, covering a total of 35 countries.

OHESDC Missions

• Monitor and analyze developments in science, technology, and innovation across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. OHESDC develops and submits strategic guidelines, policy recommendations, and regulatory proposals to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and other relevant Thai agencies. 

• Foster international collaboration in research, development, and innovation with government agencies, private-sector organizations, academic institutions, and professional networks in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, including the Association of Thai Professionals in America and Canada (ATPAC). OHESDC also works closely with relevant science and technology agencies in Thailand to initiate partnerships that contribute to national productivity, services, employment, social development, and economic growth.

• Represent Thai science and technology organizations at conferences, meetings, and other international forums related to science, technology, and innovation. OHESDC also supports negotiations concerning science- and technology-based export promotion and matters arising under national agreements between Thailand and countries in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
