The Office of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C. (OHESDC) is one of the three oversea-offices under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of the King of Thailand. OHESDC overlooks the United States, Canada, and Latin America, totaling 35 countries.
To keep track and analyze the latest updates of science, technology, and innovation in the United States of America, Canada, and Latin America as well as to generate and propose guidelines, policy recommendations, and regulations to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation as well as other related agencies in Thailand. This will help Thailand to increase its proficiency in science, technology, and innovation, and its readiness for high competitiveness in the world in the next 5 – 10 years.
To seek collaboration in research, development, and application from governmental and private organizations and agencies United States of America, Canada, and Latin America including the Association of Thai Professionals in America and Canada (ATPAC). OHESDC also cooperates with related science and technology agencies in Thailand to initiate collaboration which can enhance production, services, employment, society, and the economy of Thailand.
To perform as the representative of Thai science and technology organizations and agencies in participating in conferences related to science and technology. OHESDC also helps in negotiations related to export support based on science and technology issues and national agreements between the United States of America, Canada, Latin America, and Thailand.
