On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the Office of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy Washington D.C. in collaboration with the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association, hosted a Job and Career Path Guidance event at the Embassy. The event aimed to support students and general public who are interested in entering the job market, networking, and professional development.
The event featured special talk by Mr. Varut Guvanasen, Vice President of R&D at HydroGeologic, Inc., and Mr. Natee Wongsangpaiboon, Division Chief of Technology Development and Prototyping at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Both speakers shared their experiences navigating highly competitive work environments and emphasized the importance of integrity, management skills, interpersonal skills, and professional/technical knowledge—key components for achieving career success across all fields.
The activity fostered discussions and knowledge exchange among more than 40 participants of diverse ages, genders, and occupations, including Thai students and professionals from Washington, Virginia, Maryland, and other regions. The event was also broadcast live on the Office’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18VFnuQ2kN/ ), and a post-event survey revealed high levels of participant satisfaction.
