Official Visit and Discussion with Institute of International Education, Washington, D.C.

On July 16, 2025, the Office of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C., participated in a mission with a Thai delegation from CMKL University—a joint institution between Carnegie Mellon University (USA) and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (Thailand). The delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supan Tungjitkusolmun and Prof. Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat, met with the Institute of International Education (IIE) in Washington D.C. to strengthen academic cooperation between Thailand and the United States, focusing on sustainable international knowledge exchange. The meeting covered strategies to enhance student, faculty, and administrative exchanges, expand collaboration in research, technology, and innovation, and included updates on IIE’s programs such as upcoming webinars. Both sides emphasized building long-term partnerships, including with U.S. community colleges and smaller institutions, and discussed government support, visa facilitation, scholarships, and the coordinating role of IIE’s Bangkok office to promote enduring U.S.-Thailand educational ties.
