OHESDC Participated in the 2026 Thai Festival in São Paulo, Brazil

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the Office of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C. (OHESDC) participated in the Thai Festival in São Paulo 2026, held at Praça da Sombra, Memorial da América Latina. Organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasília, the festival served as a platform to strengthen Thailand–Brazil relations through culture, education, innovation. The festival featured a wide range of cultural performances and exhibitions throughout the day, including Muay Thai demonstrations, traditional Thai dance performances, Thai massage demonstrations, and an AI Photo Booth that allowed visitors to digitally experience traditional Thai attire (Chud Thai). Thai government agencies, private-sector partners, and Thai restaurants in São Paulo also participated in the event, showcasing Thailand’s rich cultural heritage as well as its strengths in tourism, trade, and investment.
As part of the festival, OHESDC hosted an information booth highlighting Thailand’s opportunities in higher education, scientific research, and innovation. The booth provided information on Thai universities, international academic programs, and scholarship opportunities available to international students. To enhance visitor engagement, OHESDC also organized a Wheel of Fortune activity and distributed Thai-themed souvenirs and keepsakes, which attracted significant interest from Brazilian students and families.
OHESDC’s participation highlighted the important role of education diplomacy in advancing Thailand–Brazil cooperation and promoting greater awareness of Thailand’s academic and innovation capabilities among Brazilian audiences.
